Most tunes hand you a file. This one hands you the reasoning.

We build your calibration together, step by step, and I explain what I'm changing and why at every stage. By the end you don't just have a tune — you understand your own car well enough to read a log and know what you're looking at.

Who this is for

People who want to learn the craft, not just buy the result. If you've ever looked at a datalog and wished you knew which column mattered, this is the product.

• Reading a datalog: which parameters matter and what "good" looks like
• Fuelling, and how the ECU arrives at its targets
• Boost and wastegate control, and why it behaves the way it does
• Timing and knock — what's normal, what isn't, and when to back out
• Torque shaping and why the drivetrain cares
• How to spot a mechanical problem in a log before it becomes an expensive one

How it works

We work through your calibration in stages. You datalog, we review it together, I explain the changes before I make them, and you see the reasoning behind each revision. The pace is yours — this is not a scheduled course.

Ongoing support

Purchase includes continued access to me for questions as your build develops. Your initial calibration and its datalog revisions are included. If you later change turbo, fuel, or other parts after that tune is complete, calibration updates use the $50 retune service. Lifetime retunes are not included with new tune purchases.

Requirements

• 2015–2021 WRX VA or 2022+ WRX VB
• A suitable tuning adapter and a laptop
• Willingness to datalog properly — the teaching only works if the data does

Includes the full custom calibration. This is the Atlas E-Tune with the reasoning included, not a service on top of it.

• WRX Atlas E-Tune — $450. The calibration, done for you. Right choice if you want the car sorted and not the education.

Already have hardware planned?

The G25-660 and G30-660 turbo kits and the BRZ manifold bundle already include a custom tune. If you want teaching alongside an included kit tune, contact me before purchasing this service so we can confirm the upgrade cost and avoid charging you twice for the calibration.
