This is the throttle body mod for people who care about pressure drop, response, and real airflow—without turning the intake tract into a hack job. We take the OEM 60mm unit and re-bore it to 62mm, then fit a matching 62mm throttle blade so you’re not leaving a “step” and a big obstruction right where the air has to make its last turn into the manifold.

The goal is simple: more usable flow and less restriction at the throttle body—especially where a stock blade/shaft combo becomes a choke point at higher mass flow.

What you get

Why it matters

A bigger bore alone isn’t the whole story—the blade and the way it sits in the bore matters too. By increasing the bore and matching the blade, you reduce the blockage and turbulence at the throttle, which can translate into:

  • Less pressure drop at the throttle body

  • More airflow headroom at high load

  • A setup that supports bigger turbo / higher power goals without the TB being the “last dumb restriction” in the chain

Results note (real-world expectations)

In our testing, this 62mm re-bore + re-blade showed ~13% higher measured flow and about 1 psi less pressure drop at the throttle body at comparable conditions. Your exact results will vary based on turbo, intake piping, manifold, boost level, and calibration.
